hey all,
There is actually quite a bit that I couldn't photograph. After we went kayaking, we got a river boat tour through some mangrove trees at night. You could actually see the Milky Way in the sky, but of course it was too dark for my camera to capture. On the same trip, we got to see fireflies swarming around those mangrove trees in total darkness, making a kind of natural tropical Christmas tree.
I also forgot to bring my old pistol-grip camera, which is waterproof for up to 1.5m underwater. While at the Gaya Island Resort, we borrowed some snorkeling gear and got to swim around a local coral reef. We even saw Nemo! Er, I mean the clown fish.
Although not as spectacular (IMHO) as our trip to Norway, it was a great trip and I'd definitely like to go again, if for nothing else to climb Mt. Kinabalu and stay at the Gaya Island Resort once more.
Cheers,
