This is going to be a photo dump. Last year in August, Michi and I had a huge trip to the western side of Japan: we climbed Mt. Daisen, saw the sand dunes at Tottori
featured in this super cheesy yet awesome samurai movie from the 70s, explored Himeiji Castle, prayed for world peace at the Hiroshima Dome and shrine, and lastly we stopped over at Akiyoshidai in Yamaguchi.
Here goes nothing.
Little monster riding the baggage carousel at Yonago Airport. |
All worn out from climbing. |
Finally at the top. |

Me and Himeiji Castle |
Himeiji |
Just like the sand dunes in Michigan |
Fancy lunch on Miyajima |
That one big red arch that everyone has to take pictures of when they go to Hiroshima. |
A little crazy from the heat. |
Cool rock formations in Akiyoshidai Cave |
The videos should be up shortly, not that anyone has been waiting for them.
