New Years Trip (January, 2016)

hey all,

These pics are from the 2016 New Years trip that Michi and I took almost a year ago. Really light on the walking, because Michi had just broken her leg in September. We went to Lake Shoji, which is one of the five big lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji.

hey all,

This is the trip during which Michi broke her leg. Looking at the pics of the scenery produces a really twisted feeling, since the views are so spectacular, but my clearest memories of the trip are hearing her bones snap, waiting for the rescue helicopter, and nearly getting killed myself while carrying down her hiking pack and mine.

Tottori, Himeiji, Hiroshima, Akiyoshidai (August, 2015)

This is going to be a photo dump. Last year in August, Michi and I had a huge trip to the western side of Japan: we climbed Mt. Daisen, saw the sand dunes at Tottori



featured in this super cheesy yet awesome samurai movie from the 70s, explored Himeiji Castle, prayed for world peace at the Hiroshima Dome and shrine, and lastly we stopped over at Akiyoshidai in Yamaguchi.

Hatonosu Gorge (July, 2015)

Same deal as before.These are from a trip we took last year. The beautiful rock formations and glacial-looking water can be found near Hatonosu station, which is technically inside Tokyo prefecture.

Tateyama Trip (June, 2016)

hey all,

These are some old pictures that I have finally got around to posting. Michi and I took a trip to Tateyama, where they have one of the largest hydroelectric dams in Japan, in addition to an alpine road with 10-15 meter snow walls on each side.

Kurobe Dam. It is shut down because it is too early in the year.

Immunity Game Outline

Immunity is an educational strategy game where the player takes control of the human immune system to defend itself against viruses, bacteria, and parasitic worms. The player can create immune system cells such as macrophages, T cells, B cells, and others to fight against invaders. T cells and B cells can be trained to recognize invaders that your immune system has encountered before.

Digestion Game Outline

Digestion is an educational game designed to indirectly teach players about how the human body uses enzymes to break down proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids to get energy and basic nutrients. Players initially take control of a pepsin protein and must attack food in the stomach to break it into smaller pieces. After achieving a certain score, the player can advance to the small intestine and create other enzymes to help break down proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates.
